Located in the African continent of North Africa, Egypt is considered one of the first civilizations to provide pioneering evidence in the field of modern architecture, politics, agriculture, and literature. Today, it is known for its rich history and famous monuments such as the pyramids, the Great Sphinx, the Valley of the Kings, as well as the ancient cities of Memphis and Thebes (currently Luxor).
Today, there are 20 public universities in Egypt (with about 2 million students), and 23 private universities (with 60,000 students). This is in addition to 6 other educational institutions that were included in the QS World University Rankings for the year 2019. All public universities were included in the QS ranking of the best Arab universities, with seven of them occupying different ranks among the top 50 Arab universities, which is a strong indication of the quality of Education in Egypt.
